FLYING TO SAN RAFAEL
Daily flights from Buenos Aires (AEP) to San Rafael (AFA), via Aerolineas Argentinas, are quick and easy, lasting under 2 hours. Transportation to and from San Rafael's airport can be arranged via taxi service (contact us for assistance with reservations). Our estate is also easily accessed from Mendoza City, which lies approximately 250 km north (about 155 miles), and is just a 2 ½ hour drive through scenic wine country along the breathtaking Andes Mountain range.
DRIVING FROM DOWNTOWN SAN RAFAEL
Algodon Wine Estates is located on the Argentine Wine Route approximately 20 km (about 12 miles) from downtown San Rafael. To reach Algodon Wine Estates from the San Rafael airport and the city of San Rafael, take Ballofett Avenue heading south. Continue on Ballofett and cross the Diamante River (the orange bridge). About 50 meters after you cross the second bridge, turn right on Nac Route 144. Follow 144 for about 12 kilometers until you reach the marker km. 674. You will see the entrance to Algodon Wine Estates on the left.
DRIVING FROM MENDOZA CITY
From the city of Mendoza, follow Nac Route 40 heading south toward the city of San Rafael. The route becomes Nac Route 143. Continue until you enter the city of San Rafael. You will be heading west through the city on the main road called Hipolito Yrigoyen Avenue. At the intersection with Ballofett Avenue, turn right. Continue on Ballofett and cross the Diamante River (the orange bridge). About 50 meters after you cross the second bridge, turn right on Nac Route 144. Follow 144 for about 12 kilometers until you reach the marker km. 674. You will see the entrance to Algodon Wine Estates on the left.
To and from Las Leñas
Algodon Wine Estates is only a 2 hour drive (187km) from Las Leñas, known worldwide for its quality ski slopes. Las Leñas provides the best skiing in Argentina, and arguably the best skiing in all of South America, serving as the summer choice of the U.S., French, and Swiss Olympic ski teams.
From Algodon Wine Estates, take Route 144 to the left, after about 120km you’ll automatically merge onto Route 40 for about 20km. Then turn right into Route 222 to Las Leñas, for about 47km.
To visit Algodon Wine Estates from Las Leñas, take Route 222 for about 47km. Turn left on Route 40 and after about 20km, you’ll merge onto Route 144. Stay on this for 120km until you reach the entrance of Algodon Wine Estates.
